Simpro documents native notification and trigger capabilities relevant to quotation follow-up. Start by asking whether your requirement is a configurable reminder workflow rather than a need for generative AI.
Simpro’s own material describes alerts based on quotation due dates. Its release documentation also describes triggering the next workflow stage when a customer views a quote. These are specific capabilities—not evidence that every desired follow-up sequence is already configured in your account. (simprogroup.com)
Ask your administrator to demonstrate:
- The event that starts the follow-up.
- Whether the action is an internal task or a customer message.
- Which quote status must still be true when it runs.
- What happens when a quote is accepted, revised, withdrawn or expired.
- Where delivery and subsequent actions are recorded.
For commercial HVAC, our preferred first automation is often an internal estimator task with the relevant quote and customer history attached. Use customer-facing messages only after reviewing the contact permissions and suppression rules discussed in Question 18.
Do not buy an agency solely to recreate a notification your team can already configure and maintain.
