What can job-management software already do?

1. Native functionality deserves a fresh review

Platform What the reviewed evidence supports What the buyer should verify
ServiceM8 Office Agent can prepare quote follow-ups, bookings and other supported actions for approval. Capabilities depend on permissions, add-ons and plan. (support.servicem8.com) Whether your exact workflow is supported, who approves changes and what additional subscription is required
Commusoft Its 21 September showcase report, updated 29 September, announced specialised phone agents and a private application framework for integrations. This is announcement evidence, not proof of availability in every account. (commusoft.com) General availability, UK account access, supported actions, integration permissions and commercial terms
Joblogic Its AI Summariser documentation describes summaries across customer, site, asset, job, quote and invoice records. The page was last updated on 30 May 2025. (support.joblogic.com) Current module pricing, processing configuration, usage allowance and accuracy on your records
Simpro Its official workflow worksheet explicitly uses a salesperson notification before quote expiry as a planning example. This supports investigating native configuration, not assuming a complete autonomous sales workflow. (helpguide.simprogroup.com) Available triggers, quote-stage rules, message permissions and logging in your live account

Buyer action: Give your incumbent vendor the same one-page specification you give an agency. For commercial HVAC quotation follow-up, specify the quote stage, responsible estimator, permitted message and conditions that stop the sequence.

2. “Free AI” does not necessarily mean a free module

Joblogic’s help page describes its hosted AI option as free under a fair-usage policy, but elsewhere on the same page references a £1,000 annual AI Summariser subscription and an older promotional offer. Those statements concern different charging layers and do not establish today’s all-in price. (support.joblogic.com)

Buyer action: Request one dated quote separating the module licence, processing charges, usage limits and implementation. Do not build a business case from an isolated “free” label.
